Jourdan & Chris’s Beautiful Wedding at The Barns at Stonehurst
As a photographer, I've had the incredible privilege of capturing hundreds of thousands of athletes over the years—each one bringing their own unique energy, passion, and story to the frame. But there's something especially special when those athletes, many of whom I’ve had the honor of photographing during their gymnastics careers, come back to me and ask me to capture their wedding day.
It's a beautiful reminder that my work is more than just photographs—it's about telling the stories that matter most in people’s lives.
One of those very special stories was wedding of Jourdan and Chris. Jourdan, a former gymnast at Deary's Gymnastics, reached out to me almost two years ago to book me for her wedding. It was a humbling moment for me, knowing that someone I had once captured in the gym was now asking me to be part of such a personal and meaningful day. Their wedding took place at the stunning Barns at Stonehurst at Hampton Valley in Hampton, Connecticut. The venue’s rustic charm, combined with the love and joy that surrounded Jourdan and Chris, made it the perfect backdrop for their celebration.
From the moment I arrived,
I could feel the energy and excitement that filled the air. You could see it in every detail—the way Jourdan lit up when she saw Chris for the first time, the laughter that echoed throughout the day, and the tender moments between them as they celebrated the start of their new chapter. As a photographer, there’s no greater gift than being trusted to document such an important day. Being able to capture those fleeting, beautiful moments of love, joy, and connection, is something I’ll never take for granted.
To all the athletes who have been a part of my photography journey, and to the many more couples I have yet to meet, I want you to know that every photograph I take is more than just a picture—it’s a celebration of your story.
